Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS), you will be:
 

• Responsible to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines

•  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS), infrastructure as code, and automation tools to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments.

The Hands-On Experience We Need You to Bring to the Table

• Years of experience:  7-10 years

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

• Key Skills:

  • 7-10 years of experience in DevOps roles with a strong focus on AWS.

  • Proficiency in AWS services: EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, ELB etc.

  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Experience with container orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS.

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools: Ansible.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub CI

  • Understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments.

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional) are a plus.

  • Handle secrets securely in CI/CD pipelines using CyberArk or GitHub Integration

  • Integrate Snyk into your CI/CD pipeline to scan artifacts stored in Nexus

• Key Responsibilities:​

  • Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CloudBees

  • Develop and deploy containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS/ECS

  • Monitor and optimise AWS resources using CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, etc.

  • Implement security best practices including access control, encryption, and compliance checks.

  • Automate provisioning, deployment, and scaling of infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate changes and ensure system stability.

  • Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct root cause analysis.

  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes.
