What You Will Be Doing

For the position Verification & Validation Engineer (VectorCAST):
 

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer with hands-on experience in VectorCAST Dynamic Analysis to support testing activities in safety-critical embedded software projects.

  • The role involves unit testing, structural coverage analysis, and test automation to ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC 61508.

The Hands-On Experience We Need You to Bring to the Table

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform dynamic analysis using VectorCAST for unit testing of embedded software.

    • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases and test environments in VectorCAST.

    • Perform structural coverage analysis (statement, decision) to meet certification requirements.

    • Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide detailed defect reports.

    • Collaborate with development teams to resolve test failures and coverage gaps.

    • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (IEC61508).

    • Prepare test documentation including test plans, test procedures, and traceability reports.

    • Report regular status updates to management.

  • Required Skills & Experience:

    • 2–6 years of experience in software verification & validation for embedded systems.

    • Hands-on experience with VectorCAST (Dynamic Analysis, Coverage, and Test Automation).

    • Strong understanding of unit testing methodologies and structural coverage requirements.

    • Familiarity with C/C++ programming and embedded systems development.

    • Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers (STM32, ARM, 8051 etc.) used in safety-critical applications

    • Good understanding of compiler/linker settings and integration of test harnesses

    • Knowledge of safety-critical software standards (DO-178C, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, EN 50128).

    • Experience with configuration management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Bitbucket JIRA).

    • Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in static analysis tools (e.g., Polyspace, LDRA, Coverity).

    • Scripting experience in Python scripting for test automation.

    • Prior experience in Industrial Automation, Avionics, or Rail safety-critical domains.

  • Educational Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
